Thesis supervision (Master and Bachelor):
Students enrolled at HSG are welcome to send proposals for a Bachelor or Master thesis. Topics should fall within one of the following research areas:
— Behavioral economics
— Behavioral finance
— Decision theory
— Financial risk
— Quantitative methodology
All methodological approaches (theoretical, empirical, or experimental) are welcome. Students should possess the relevant topical and methodological background in the area and approach of their interest, be willing to thoroughly work through the relevant literature, and have a curious, motivated, and creative mindset.
Students are welcome to indicate their interest in writing a thesis under my supervision by sending the following application documents by email to ola.mahmoud@unisg.ch:
- Proposal for a thesis topic of approximately 1-2 pages, including brief motivating background,
the proposed research question, an outline of the research approach, and references.
- List of courses taken that are directly relevant to the proposed thesis topic
- Recent grade transcript
Applications should be sent early enough to allow time for meetings and discussions (no later than one month before the official deadline).
