Prof. Stefan Buehler Professor of Applied Microeconomics We aim at excellence in research, teaching and policy advice with a specialization in Applied Microeconomics. Stefan Buehler is Full Professor at the HSG’s School of Economics and Political Science since 2012 and Managing Director of the Institute of Economics since 2013. He served as Independent Member (2005-2010) and Vice President (2010-2015) of the Swiss Competition Commission. Stefan Buehler was Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Zurich, Visiting Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, SNSF Professor in Economics, and Visiting Research Scholar at Duke University. Our research and teaching activities focus on the following fields: Industrial Organization Applied Game Theory Applied Microeconomics Antitrust Law and Economics Regulation Stefan Buehler's publication record includes the American Economic Review, the Journal of Industrial Economics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the International Journal of Industrial Organization, the Journal of Regulatory Economics, Economics Letters, etc. He teaches various courses at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Levels, and he is a member of the Master program commission.
